Host Terms of Service

Terms governing host and business use of Staysi.

For hosts and organizations using Staysi.

Effective and version date: August 25, 2026 · Version 2026-08-25

Agreement and eligibility

These Host Terms govern your use of Staysi. By creating or using a host account, accepting these Terms, or using Staysi on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms and represent that you are at least 18 years old and authorized to act for that organization.

The Privacy Policy explains Staysi privacy practices. When Staysi processes guest or reservation personal data on your behalf, the Data Processing Addendum is incorporated into these Terms.

Your account and properties

You are responsible for accurate account and property information, protecting account credentials, limiting authorized access, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and lawful basis necessary to provide reservation, guest, property, and connected-service information to Staysi.

Staysi is a communication and guest-experience tool. It is not the booking platform, property manager of record, emergency dispatcher, insurer, or substitute for your obligations to guests, property owners, booking platforms, or authorities.

Guest communications and AI-assisted features

Staysi may automatically answer routine guest questions using host-provided knowledge and deterministic rules, use AI to interpret or structure a guest request, suggest troubleshooting, create drafts, and escalate matters to you. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. You remain responsible for your property, your instructions, and decisions that require host judgment.

You must not configure Staysi to provide deceptive, unlawful, discriminatory, unsafe, or materially misleading information. Keep property knowledge current and review host-facing recommendations when action is required.

Emergencies and safety

Staysi is not an emergency service and does not guarantee detection, classification, delivery, or response to emergencies. You remain responsible for appropriate emergency instructions and legally required safety information.

SmartThings features

If you connect SmartThings, you authorize Staysi to read compatible light/device metadata for the connected location and send commands needed for the guest scenes you configure. Authorization tokens are stored encrypted. Guests see enabled Staysi scenes, not your SmartThings account or device list. You may disconnect the integration at any time.

You are responsible for selecting only devices and scenes appropriate for guest use. Staysi currently limits guest SmartThings controls to supported lighting scenes and is not intended to expose security-critical, surveillance, life-safety, or entry-lock controls.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Staysi unlawfully, to violate another person’s rights, or to discriminate in housing or lodging decisions.
  • Do not upload malware, probe or bypass security, interfere with service availability, or use credentials you are not authorized to use.
  • Do not use Staysi to make high-impact legal, employment, credit, insurance, health, or other regulated decisions about a person.
  • Do not use guest data for unrelated advertising, profiling, or purposes inconsistent with your notices, contracts, or applicable law.

Your content and feedback

You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant Staysi a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, transform, and otherwise process that content only as necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the service as permitted by these Terms and the DPA. You represent that you have the rights necessary to provide that content.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans, prices, billing periods, included usage, and trial terms are shown at purchase. Stripe processes payments. Unless a purchase screen says otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the then-current paid period.

Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable and Staysi does not provide prorated refunds for unused time. Taxes may apply. Future pricing may change with appropriate advance notice.

Third-party services

Staysi depends on third-party services such as cloud, authentication, AI, messaging, payment, mapping, and SmartThings providers. Their own terms and availability may apply. Staysi remains responsible for its own contractual obligations concerning subprocessors where applicable.

Service changes, suspension, and termination

Staysi may evolve over time. Access may be suspended or terminated when reasonably necessary for security, nonpayment, legal compliance, material breach, abuse, or protection of users or the service. Account deletion is a separate process from subscription cancellation.

Disclaimers and liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STAYSI IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” STAYSI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT AI OUTPUT, GUEST CLASSIFICATION, MESSAGE DELIVERY, THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATIONS, OR THE SERVICE WILL ALWAYS BE ACCURATE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ERROR-FREE. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STAYSI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR DATA. Except for liability that cannot lawfully be limited, Staysi aggregate liability arising out of the service will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid Staysi during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100.

Disputes and general terms

Before filing a claim, you and Staysi should attempt in good faith to resolve the issue through Staysi Host Support. Nothing in these Terms waives rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived, and any dispute will be handled under the law and forum that validly apply to the parties and claim.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remainder continues. A failure to enforce is not a waiver. These Terms, incorporated policies, order details, and the DPA form the agreement concerning the service.
